SQL error path when install

Recommended Posts

When I install the oscMax 1.7 (or oscommerce MS2 2.2) , my site alway have this msg:

SQL file does not exist: /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/install/ms2-max.sql

But the true path is:

/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/tp143solutions.com/httpdocs/

How can I fix this ???

I also try another way, import .sql through phpmyadmin into my database, then install successful but when I go to my homepage, just show the error msg:

Unable to Connect to Database

Please help !!!

Thanks

This is how I resolved it on my W2k3 server. It may work for you.

SQL file does not exist: /install/oscommerce.sql

Perform the following to resolve this issue:

1. Navigate to the ?\install\templates\pages? folder and locate the ?\install_3.php? file.

2. Open this file with ?WordPad? and make the following changes:

a. Locate the following code:

// $script_filename = getenv('PATH_TRANSLATED');

b. Replace it with this code:

$script_filename = $_SERVER["PATH_TRANSLATED"];

c. Now locate this code, which is directly under it:

// $script_filename = getenv('SCRIPT_FILENAME');

d. Replace it with this code:

$script_filename = $_SERVER["PATH_TRANSLATED"];

e. Save and close the file.

2. Open this file with ?WordPad? and make the following changes:

Open this file with NotePad, a plain text editor. Never use WordPad to work with osCommerce files as WordPad uses text formatting.
