Setting up a Beta Site

Okay, after many mess-ups & mistakes, and a very substantial disk space upgrade, I'm going to go about this the right way.

I'm setting up a test site for configuring & debugging new contributions or any changes before I put them on the main site. So far I have set this up as a subdomain, but the problem I have is that as I click around in the subdomain, I keep getting referred back to the real site. Is there a way to do this without changing 6 million file associations?

Thanks,

Wendy

When moving a site you only need to change two files

includes/configure.php

admin/includes/configure.php

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
