Stock Quantity incorrect when options used?

Nice Script... Easy install and admin. Nice!

However, it could be an oversight/ignorance on my part but, this may actually be a "bug".

If I have 3 shirts of one style in stock, two red and one blue, this is not reflected in the scripts qty in stock data.

My site will be selling scrubs (nurse uniforms) and many are the same style just different colors.

For the qty in stock to be accurate I would need to enter each color as a different product. There are hundreds of styles with color options and that is just silly to add each color as a seperate product (hence the need for the options).

Example:

I enter 3 in stock for product "A".

Set product "A"'s color options to blue & red then apply to above product.

Now, I have up to 3 red OR up to 3 blue in stock! Thats not good.

I have no control over the specific options qty.

There must be a way to modify the script (and database?) to add qtys to each option when needed?

Additionally, I have not looked into this too far but...

Can a (color) option be removed (when out of stock) from the publics options dropdown when the product is viewed?

I would really appreciate some help. We have hundreds of styles but many have only one of each color for that style. We really can't use osC for our application if we cannot post all these "onesy twosy" items. We don't want to clutter up the site with 500 out of 2000 items showing up with incorrect stock qty's.

Thanks in advance for any input. :D

Wow, That is COOOL. Thanks so much. Works like a champ.

I first looked through all the mods and skipped right over that one because of the name. Thought it had something to do with a quattro db export or the like.

Should be QTYpro or something.. :-"

Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!!!!

No probs so far with the qtpro31_1 mod however, the mod cPIL_v1_0 is needed to view the quantities on each option. So, I installed. :-"

All works fine in admin it seems but the public site crashes with a line 81 tep_output_string error in html_output.php.

If I post my working general.php and product_info.php and the cPil general.php and product_info.php, which cause the problem, could someone p-l-e-a-s-e show me how to add the cPil mods to my two working scripts? :'(

Thanks in advance for the assistance...

p.s. link to the cpil mod (that crashes me)

Jim,

You should ask this on the QTPro thread under the Contributions Support forum.
