Changing 1 specific color area

I can't seem to find a good efficient way of getting the top of the page to fit a color (or better yet a graphic) to match the logo. I've been digging around on the KB and the forum here to see if there's a clear cut way to do it. Anyone?

Edit your stylesheet and change the .header class. Input your desired color code...done.
