Help, with credit card set-up.

Hello,

 

I am creating an online store for a couple who own a small business shop in salem mass. Rather than having credit card payents go through an automatic payment method on the site, the owners would like to be able to manually run the numbers through their instore machine.

 

How do I set this up so that they will get e-mailed the order, and then they can access th enumber somehow in either e-mail or logging into the reports and get the full credit card info to manually run.

If I'm not mistaken the default CC payment module stores the CC number in the database exactly like you're talking about. It does not email the number to the store owners and this is not recommended.

 

In addition, if you do this make damn sure the admin directory is protected and the server is secure. Otherwise, all the customer CC info will be compromised.

the split cc function is an option on the cc payment module, where parts get emailed, the other stays on the site for you to logon to and then together you can merge the card together.
