Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 When running OS commce on a straight apache webserver ( Cpanel) I have this problem: When the apache is running with SSL enabled then all image URL's are getting HTTPS, something that breaks the image display as I don't have a SSL vhost. When the ISP restarts the webserver with no SSL support - all is good. What shuld I do to stop this behaviour, I want to run http at all times?
Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 turn ssl off in the configure.php file, set ssl to false
Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Hi Have done that. Have read up on the forum, and it seems the problem has appered before. What I have done now, is to change the config file contents where https to http. That worked, but it is not a good fix. What needs to be done is to access the apache server and set openssl to disabled.
Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 if you have to do that, then there is a server configuration issue. thus, if it were me, i would be for changing hosts . . .
Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Hi My problem is that I'm running 4 different oscommerce shops and about 30 forums from this server. Changing server would mean a lot of work. I have considered changing serverprovider, but it's just too much work
Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 then not much can be done, as it isnt an osCommerce failure, it is a server configuration issue. to move 4 stores and 30 forums isnt that bad to move, just a matter of backing everything up and then restoring, and setting the configuration files and you are done. anyway, wish you luck, as osCommerce IMHO has nothing to do with your failure.

Of course, if it is affecting ALL the stores than I agree...server issue.
