How do you secure admin? SSL

<_<

Just wondering if anyone knows how to make the ADMIN side going thru SSL? (https)

The main page is working fine with SSL login and no issues but when I use HTTPS://www.yourDomain.com/admin

it goes to it fine and login in then it switches back to normal HTTP

I have checked both

../admin/includes/configure.php and

../includes/configure.php

all settings are fine with

// Define the webserver and path parameters
// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
?define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.yourDomain.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers
?define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.yourDomain.com');
?define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.yourDomain.com');
?define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module
?define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/yourDomain/public_html/store/'); // where the pages are located on the server
?define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/store/admin/'); // absolute path required
?define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/yourDomain/public_html/store/admin/'); // absolute path required
?define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/'); // absolute path required
?define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/yourDomain/public_html/store/'); // absolute path required

any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Allen

Make sure that your changes were actually saved to the server and that you changed the admin/includes/configure.php file as that should do it.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

can't believe as simple as that and everyone was saying in other threads to edit .htaccess files etc.
