lenahan2001 Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Modifying The Checkout Screen Hello, I just installed oscommerce on my customers website located at http://store.software-backups.com We are trying to finish the store setup and we are running into a few problems during the checkout process? 1.) When the customer places an item in their basket and goes to the checkout screen, are they forced to setup an account, or is there a way to disable the new account requirement. 2.) After the customer creates their new account, they are redirected to the homepage and their basket will still have the contents saved, but the customer has to click on the checkout button again, then use his email address and password to log into to complete the checkout. Is there a way so that after a customer creates an account, they are automatically directed to the next step of the checkout instead of being taken to the homepage? 3.) On the site http://store.software-backups.com when the customer tries to complete their purchase by logging into their account to finish the purchase, we keep getting a 404 Error Page. 4.) Can anyone please try to make a test purchase of any item located on that site, and see if they get any errors? The transaction is set in test mode, so you can put any anonymous information if you like. If you find any errors, could you please let me know. I really appreciate any help you can offer me, so that I can finish this customers store asap. Regards, Ryan
ozcsys Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 1. You can install the guest account or pwa contribution. I would also remove all the fields you can in the admin ( gender, dob etc. ) 2. This should already be happening you seem to be having a sessions issue with your secure pages. 3. It does not seem to be able to find the checkout_shipping.php file you need to check and make sure it is there and there is nothig wrong with it. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
lenahan2001 Posted November 13, 2004 Author Posted November 13, 2004 Thanks for the reply... I am getting the 404 Error at this URL... https://www.software-backups.com/store/logi...37fa10af49a67f7 But what's really wierd is that this URL does work... https://www.software-backups.com/store/logi...37fa10af49a67f7 So I am assuming that the login.php is working, just when it tries to process the login it gets that 404 error. Any suggestions? Regards, Ryan
