If you look at the footer for the forum you will see that it is powered by Invision Power Board v2.0.2 ? 2004 IPS, Inc.

You may be interested in this quote from a related conversation I had w/my webhost:

The biggest reason we prefer vBulletin over IPB is due to server usage. vBulletin has a tendency to be easier on the server than IPB, but by far phpBB is the easiest on the server of any bulletin board software.

I like IPB's features too. For now, though, I'm sticking w/phpBB. I'm probably moving to a VPS hosting plan soon, and need to watch my CPU usage. It's been a bit high lately.

It should also be noted that Invision is not Open Source. It is a commercial product.

No.. Invision has never been open source. They have always had a proprietary license. They did used to have a unlimited trial but they removed that when version 2.0 was released.

Ahh! That also explains why a board I am a member of shows v2.whatever it is (Trial) at the bottom.

I think I will stick to phpBB for now.
