biohazardbill Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I am new to this and wondering of setting the path for: Webserver Root Directory and Http Cookie Path to / (root) is the norm or if I should maybe point it elsewhere...
♥Vger Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Usually the path to your root is something like /var/www/html or htdocs, or usr/local/apache/htdocs. Basically, wherever your root is, if you install osCommerce into it and list your domain as http://www.yourdomain.com, then the cookie path would be '/' Vger

I am new to this sort of thing, and this was kinda just dropped into my lap

If you FTP to the website, to your root directory, then you should see the path to it in the top right pane of your ftp programme (at least with WS FTP Pro it you do). If in doubt go to your hosting company's website. They should have a Knowledge Base or FAQ's with the answer to the path to your root. Vger
