Gift certificate is sent to "junk" mail-box

Hello,

I was testing the gift certificate functionality. So I sent a gift voucher for $5 to myself to my hotmail account. I did receive an email, but it was located in "junk" folder instead of "inbox".

I don't want this to happen when I atually send gift vouchers to prospective customers. Does anyone know any workaround? (Note: I had not done "bulk" mailing, sent to just 1 email address)

Thanks,

CodeCutter

hotmail has a fairly strict spam filter going on, one thing to do is check the headers of the email, to see where hotmail thinks the email is coming from.

could be your host has your email going out as something other than what you have in the store admin for email.

What may be causing Hotmail to think that it is spam?

Few of my observations.

1. Sent to "Friend"? Is it because of osCommerce or my host?

2. Return-Path: [email protected] This may be a problem I think.

Any other ideas?

3.X-Mailer: osCommerce bulk mailer -- Is it because of "bulk" mailer?

Alternately, I will be forced not to send gift vouchers to hotmail accounts.

Thanks anyway.
