images not seen from some machines

Hello,

 

I am starting my oscommerce. I have installed everything (linux, apache 1.3,php 4,...) and it seems to work, but i have realised that some people do not get the images from the site. In some places it works OK (slow because my connections are poor, but it works) and in some other it seems to work but none of the images show!

 

Any ideas?

 

Has anyone found a problem like this?

Yes,

I have the same problem with the images. I received this error message: tError: Catalog images directory does not exist: /data/members/paid/h/a/haitiartisanat2004.com/htdocs/www/images/

has anyone could help resolve this problem.

Haiti artisanat is the only post that I can reply to as she left a back door address to her shop.

 

Haiti, what directory are your images in at the moment. They should be in /data/members/paid/h/a/haitiartisanat2004.com/htdocs/www/boutique/images/

The default pathway to your images directory would be htdocs/images/, and not htdocs/www/images/

Your main images in /images/ folder I see okay, it's only some of the table_background images that don't, and the french flag icon on the homepage. This is the file pathway to the british flag, which displays okay

 

catalog/includes/languages/english/images/icon.gif

 

This is the file pathway to the french flag, which doesn't display

Notice the double slash and no french language directory.

 

Try uploading all of the 'table_background' type images again, and make sure that your FTP programme uploads them in Binary Mode and not in ASCII mode.

Thank you very much.. i have a special problem with the french icon, I need to check it.

 

but, did you get to see the mountain on the top-left corner, and te blue background on the top? , well, some people don't see it, i don't know why!
