Hello,

I was happliy moving along, adding items to a store i'm working on, when out of the blue I get this:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/shopb/public_html/store/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

All I was doing was adding a manufacturers name, then bam! Can't connect to my site or my admin.

Anyone have any ideas?

thank you.

This has happened to me also, normally it will clear in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Talk to your hosting provider

This message means that there is to many connections on the (hosting server) not your store

From Search Forum

Hope this helps

Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.

double check your configure.php files, and if set to persistent connections is true, set to false. also have your host reboot your web server, unless you can do it

thanks for your responses, it has reset. I'll check out the config file to see about persistant connections.

Also, so I don't have to start a new thread. Is there a way to tell oscommerce that there are 5 in a size "s", 6 in a size "m" etc.? I haven't found a way to set quantities for specific sizes (generated through product attributes). the only contribution I found in this regard was a completely new OSC set-up, and I can't start over at this point.

thanks as always
