A Strange One

I have just put our new site live My Webpage.

I have been getting people signing up as customers but hardly any orders, the site is set up so that it is more than likely the customers want to buy the products rather than just leaving so the must be getting a problem.

I have tested the site here from home, I have had a friend test the site from his home no problem. We both are on ADSL connected direct to the internet.

My wife has tried at work and is getting the following problem.

She can buy items putting them into her basket, she then has to create her account and gets the create account success page.

NOW THE PROBLEM.

When she clicks on continue she gets the login.php page instead of the shipping page, if she trys to access her account she again gets the log in page! She cannot physically place and order or log onto her account.

Her account is shown in Admin.

Now if I log in at home using her account I dont get the same problems!

Now I am guessing it is something to do with her system being on a network and firewalled but this shouldn't happen, should it?

I am also guessing that this has something to do with cookies?

Help needed urgently as I guess others ar ehaving the same problem.

Many thanks

Ian

You have it set to require cookies.  Tell your wife and the rest of the world to accept cookies or don't shop at your store.

Chemo,

Thanks for the comments.

Am I right in thinking that OsCommerce needs cookies and can't work without them?

Secondly why isn't my wife getting the cookie warning page?

Would it make a difference if I set the 'Force Cookie Use' to false.

Lastly how can I solve this problem?

Thanks for all you help and so fast , I just love this community spirit.

Just an update .....

Even with IE's privacy set to low my wife still can't log on!

I have also set the force cookie option to false.

Just making sure where can I find if my cookie settings are fine for OsCommerce.

The reason I ask is a while back I change the installation from mydomain/catalog/index.php to mydomain/index.php.

I had to change some settings in configure to get this to work. I am wondering if this might hold the key for this problem.

At the moment I left the cookie path as /catalog/.

Now should I change this to nothing / / out should I put something else in there?
