moving the admin to another directory

I moved the admin map as told in the install-note to another directory. I've put it in the HTTPSDOCS...

Now everytime i go to another category inside the admin controlpanel, i have to submit manualy an S behind the http.. to go secure. What can i do to get rid of this problem?

If i give the admin.php another name, will my whole controlpanel be messed up by not recognising the path?

In your 'admin' folder go to your .htaccess file, download it, and insert this at the end of it (this assumes you have a full ssl cert - for a shared ssl alter the pathway)

SSLRequireSSL

ErrorDocument 403 https://yourdomain.com/admin/

Once you've made the change, delete the .htaccess file in your website's 'admin' folder, and upload the changed one.

This will put all of the 'admin' folder under SSL.
