osCommerce on Local Server

I have installed Apache server with mySQL on my local PC to be able to test my work before doing it on my actual site but I have only one problem, I need to set up a /tmp directory

"The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created." I have spent a couple hours trying to find how to do that but I'm running pretty much out of options.

I would greatly appreciate a lead on how to set that up!

Many thanks,

IIRC, you set this at the bottom of your catalog/includes/configure.php and catalog/admin/includes/configure.php. There is a line about MYSQL near the bottom of these files, but without looking, I cannot tell you exactly what to look for.

I am sure someone will advise fully.

SESSION DIRECTORY DOES NOT EXIST

change the last line in the following files

catalog/includes/configure.php

admin/includes/configure.php

from

define('STORE_SESSIONS', '');

to

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided.  Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===]
If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! :P

Is your Osc dated try Phoenix  raising oscommerce from the ashes.

That is really cool, it worked!

I have a different problem now; I am getting a Windows message regarding the PHP.EXE.

But at last the tmp directory message is gone!

Many thanks guys :thumbsup:

That's the one. I just couldn't remember it.
