Unable to Send eMail

I am trying to send email using the Send Email function. When I send an email, I get a confirmation that email has been sent, but the email is not received by the email address specified in the Send Email.

Operating System: Win XP

E-Mail Options are:

E-Mail Transport Method - smtp

E-Mail Linefeeds - CRLF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails - false

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS - false

Send E-Mails - true

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

FYI: I have installed OSC with EasyPHP on my PC to test the functionalities of OSC.

Hey obscure,

I have easyphp also installed on my local system for testing, you won't be able to send emails from the test system unless you also put an smtp server there as well. I use post cast server, it is freeware and work very well. You don't need to do anything to oscommerce just have the smtp server running and it should pickup the outgoing emails. You can get it at : http://www.postcastserver.com/

hope this helps,

Buy PostCast Server

yep it is, they are just hiding the freeware version...let me get the link.......

incase this doesn't work:

go to main postcast website

postcast main site

then click the download link

download page

on the new page on the right scroll down and you "should" see:

PostCast Server Free Edition v2.6.0

It is listed under the other 2 commercial versions

but before you get to the area titled:
