Top >> Catalog after changing home page?

Yuck

Recommended Posts

I just moved osc so that it's in the root if thats the right way to put it. Anyhow although .com address now works great I still have top >> catalog in the header. Is there any way of altering this to say home? On any other page it needs to say home >> anyotherpage.

On a similar subject how would I replace the " >> " seperator with an image?

In includes/languages/english/english.php use this:

define('HEADER_TITLE_TOP', '');
define('HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG', 'Home');

That will make Top blank and Catalog to Home.

For the seperator, in includes/header.php find the character »

    <td class="headerNavigation">  <?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' » '); ?></td>

and change to (say) this

    <td class="headerNavigation">  <?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' -> '); ?></td>

:thumbsup:

I think you mean includes/languages/english.php

This is the same file I referred to, except it was accessed via the Control Panel.

Thanks for the help, worked just great :thumbsup:

<td class="headerNavigation">  <?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' -> '); ?></td>

Is it possible to put a small bullet.gif there instead of "->" ?

Use the ANSI code for the bullet e.g. & # 1 4 9 ; (small round bullet point).  Had to space them out, as the forum just converted the code!

That worked nicely, thanks.

But because I'm using STS I had to put that code in includes/sts_display_output.php

After following these instructions here my site now looks like this:

untitled17qt.jpg

Not a big deal but is there a way to get rid of the "->" ONLY before Home?

I found out how to do it. In catalog/includes/classes/breadcrumb.php

Locate:

      for ($i=0, $n=sizeof($this->_trail); $i<$n; $i++) {
       if (isset($this->_trail[$i]['link']) && tep_not_null($this->_trail[$i]['link'])) {

Replace with:

      for ($i=1, $n=sizeof($this->_trail); $i<$n; $i++) {
       if (isset($this->_trail[$i]['link']) && tep_not_null($this->_trail[$i]['link'])) {

I just increased the $i counter from 0 to 1.

you can use & # 58 ; to gain a colon remember to close up the spacing used here to allow viewing otherwise you get :

No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided.  Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===]
If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! :P
