The e-commerce.

Step 2 Database Import Issues

Recommended Posts

Apache 1.3.29

MySQL 4.0.21

PHP 4.3.9

FreeBSD 5.2.1 Release

I go to the web interface at catalog/install and select Install a new online store. I leave both boxes checked on the next page and click Continue. I type in localhost for my Database Server, then put in my root username, password, and database name for the osCommerce DB. I leave Persistent Connections unchecked and select Database for my Session Storage, then click Continue.

I am then shown a partial page at catalog/install/install.php?step=2 which shows only New Installation underlined in the upper left, Database Import in bold underneath that, and the osCommerce logo in the upper right. All else is blank white background.

No error message on the web page, no error message in my httpd error log, no error message in my mysql error log.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

i am having the same problem...can anyone PLEASE help us poor saps;;) lol!

I found that there was, after all, a relevent error message in the httpd-errors log that said this:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect()

I am not quite sure what fixed it after that, but it may have been through a reinstall of the php4-mysql port.

Hope that helps.
