Background color

I have set the header, body and footer to be 800px wide. How can I change the color outside of the 800px? When I try to change the body background in stylesheet.css it changes everything to that color.

If you look at my site http://americancroppers.com/store you will see a lot of white if it is expanded out past 800px. I want to change it to a different color.

I want it to look like the site is sitting on top of a blue page. Sorta like if I was to make a simple HTML page, set it to blue, and then put a white table on top of it.

Also, how do I change the border size around the infoboxes?

PS... I know I still have a lot to work on on the site and there are no items yet.

Thanks in advance for your help...

what php software did you use to create the items in your site.

if you go to my site 54graphics.com, my catalog looks so plain, yours is really inpressive. I like it.

I heard theres a good program called golive or something like that

I've never messed with PHP before and just started learning 2 weeks ago. I just edited it manually. You can edit the stylesheet.css file. All of your colors are found there. Go to google and type in hex color codes to find sites to show you what the color code is for the color you want.

Follow this link to find out what all the options in stylesheet.css does....

Also, In the images folder, there are pics named something like corner_left and corner right ( or something like that) that are the corners to the infoboxes...

Can anybody answer my original quesion?
