login not creating accounts

are you on a windows iis server, a unix server, or?

can you post your configure.php files without the database info?

try this:

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

to your document root/catalog

go to your store admin

click on tools

click on server info

search for document_root

copy that string example is /home/username/public_html

to define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/username/public_html/catalog/');

the path isnt formated like that itys C:\path\to\catalog

 

i tried that no go parse errors

with oscommerce you need to do it differently, this is from a developmnent server i use:

 

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'c:/inetpub/wwwroot/domain/');

Unless you have paid to install a full ssl certificate then you will not have it. Your hosting company may offer you the use of a shared ssl certificate, in which case find out from them the path to that shared certificate.
