osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Need 2 older files for live store

Custom-Home-Theater

Recommended Posts

I'm not a php coder, nor a coder in general, but just an avg guy learning everyday as fast as I can about this.

I"m looking for the configure.php files that are in the older OsCommerce, both in the admin/include & store/includes.

It would be of great help.

I did the upload of the backup a I had but that didn't fix the problem.

Thank you for your on going support.

the configure.php files are empty files and get filled ruring installation or by you manually filling them in. what happened to the originals?

what happened to your store? possibly post a link to the site too.

Site link is C-H-T, Lasnight , I was working on trying to setup the SSL, & ended up with an error, but that wasn't a big deal, & after that I copied the wrong configure.php file into the wrong place. Then copied the newer 2.2ms2 configure.php into the older data, so I'm really getting way off track on what I started out to do.

Thanks

 define('DB_DATABASE', *******);
 define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections?
 define('STORE_SESSIONS', ''); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'
?>

As stated before, I replaced the older " configure.php " files with the newer 2.2MS2 files & thats where my problem is coming from ( I think )

u used cpanel to produce the keys? you need to get those from verisign, etc, some authority like that. you cant just 'generate' a key from the cpanel. set ssl to false and se what happens.

look at this area: (this is from another system)

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT);

// if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

actually this:

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

try setting to your document root path

these are probably what you had bedore (you may need to adjust for your site)

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/');

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT);

// where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

i finally found an older configure.php, i left out the info for the database. ( modified it for your site)

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://custom-home-theater.com'); // uncomment when changeover complete

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://custom-home-theater.com');

define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/'); // absolute path required

define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/');

define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');

define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/');

define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/');

define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'classes/');

define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'modules/');

define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'languages/');

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/your/document/root');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

OK, editing this define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME'])); to this

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS[/store/images/])); --- OK, that removed the database error on top,but didn't bring back the jpg's, as I have been editing the configure file trying to change other things to include the " store " but I get database error & no store, or I had the error on top of the page & added a few more lines in there there too, but edited them back out.
