May I suggest a revision to the article in the knowledge base?

These are questions I see posted here almost every day

QUOTE

The order email is created once the checkout has been completed by a customer. By default only the customer recives the order confirmation via email.

Sending a copy

It is possible for multiple users to recieve a copy of the order email by entering the email address is the following field in the general configuration section.

Let's revise that;

QUOTE

The order email is created once a customer completes checkout.

By default, only the customer recieves the order confirmation via email. The store owner does not.

It is possible for the store owner to recieve a copy of the order email entering the email address is the following field in the general configuration section:

Multiple email addresses may also entered in this field, if required.

Changing

To edit the content of the email you need to look in the following file.

catalog/includes/languages/*your language*/checkout_process.php

The sections of the file that handle the content of the welcome email is

define('EMAIL_TEXT_SUBJECT', 'Order Process' );

define('EMAIL_TEXT_ORDER_NUMBER', 'Order Number');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL', 'Detailed invoice');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_DATE_ORDERED', 'Date of order:');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_PRODUCTS', 'products:');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_SUBTOTAL', 'Sub-Total:');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_TAX', 'Tax: ');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_SHIPPING', 'Shipping: ');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_TOTAL', 'Total: ');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_DELIVERY_ADDRESS', 'Delivery Address');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_BILLING_ADDRESS', 'Billing Address');

define('EMAIL_TEXT_PAYMENT_METHOD', 'Payment Method');

define('EMAIL_SEPARATOR', '------------------------------------------------------');

define('TEXT_EMAIL_VIA', 'via');

It is possible to add an introductory phrase into the defintion 'EMAIL_TEXT_INVOICE_URL'

I recommend the introductory phrase note because I see the question posted here pretty often!

Thank you for your consideration of my proposal
