Recommended Posts

For some reason when I go to login to my store or do anything I get an https:// instead of http:// on the address bar. This isn't through admin or anything. This is when I login to the store as a customer. Can someone tell me how to fix this?! I would love to have the SSL but not if it wont work and right now it dont work. Thanks to anyone who can help.

You have selected SSL during installation - open up catalog/includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php in a text editor (not a word processor) and set the following:

  define('ENABLE_SSL', false);

I just checked both of them and they are set to false like you said. I didnt need to change that. What confuses me is when I login to admin it tells me that I am not protected by a secure SSL connection. Here is the link to my store, see if you can better understand. Theres no products mine or anything because I'm still in setup process. http://webmasterdesigns.net/catalog

For now you could turn off https in the config files

Check the DB part of your admin/includes/configure.php file and compare it to catalog/includes/configure.php file and make sure they are the same.

Again, this is probably because you have a configure.php file located within your admin/includes/local/ directory :D

Please keep to a single thread on the same issues

Thanks!

Don't worry about my above problems everyone. I managed to fix them. I still don't know how exactly. I just uploaded the install folder and installed it again and then went in and changed everything back like I had it. Thanks for everyones help though. And if I sounded rude in my last post I'm sorry I just got frustrated. Its my fault. I apologize everyone. Thanks again for all your help.
