The weight is neither imperial or metric. I just use 1.0 is a kilo and that works fine.

Also, please refrain from using CAPS, it is considered shouting.

Goto admin >> Configuration >> Shipping/Packaging >> Change "Package Tare Weight" to 1.0 as Hebe73 suggests. Now you have a base config for your weight, so 1.0 tare weight = 1.0 kg!

no package tare weight is the additional weight thats added to the order to account for the weight of the packaging of small to medium sized packages as it says in the admin itself "What is the weight of typical packaging of small to medium packages?"

i think by default osc is set to use kgs so there is really need to change weight units

Hi

I had the same problem but it's really easy.

The file you need is in 'includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/zones.php

Change:

define('MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TEXT_UNITS', 'lb(s)');

to

'define('MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TEXT_UNITS', 'kg(s)');'
