Disabling Registration E-Mail?

Scotty

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I was wondering if it is possible to disable the "Registration" email which is the one that new members recieve after they create an account, without disabling all e-mail messages (e.g invoice copy)?

I use the OSC to accept payment for an online course and have been told by many customers that they recieve too many e-mails during the process and it causes confusion.

Regards,

Scotty

Ok, I'm not 100% sure, but i'm sure someone will confirm this...

If you were to delete the part that request the email to be sent from the create_account.php file, that should do the trick....

Again, I'm not sure, but back-up first!!!! I learn the hard way!

an individual only registers once, and thus there is only one email sent.  and that is too many emails?

I thought I mentioned that registration is for the course, so here is the list:

1. Registration E-mail for OSC (Not necessary)

2. Copy of the OSC Invoice via e-mail (Necessary)

3. Registration Confirmation for the Course registration from the course program with a clickable link. (Necessary)

4. Activation Key for the course sent via e-mail (Necessary)

And this all happens in the matter of minutes and overwhelms many of the students who are not computer literate.

I thought maybe if I can get rid of the OSC registration e-mail which doesn't really serve a purpose in my case, it may help with easing up the confusion.
