Better stock control re: attributes

Hi. I've come across a limitation of the default osCommerce installation (though mine has been heavily modified), and I'm certain others will have faced the same problem. Though it's far from impossible to solve, I'm reluctant to re-invent the wheel and wondered if anyone had written, or was aware of, a solution?

Basically, I want to control stock qty's of products, and in some cases this is already provided in osCommerce, with a qty column and corresponding support. However, I want to use product attributes which will include, say, size and colour. What I need to do is assign qty's in stock to combinations of attributes - so, for example, I can treat small black items as seperate items in stock, as, say, large green ones. The solution needs to be extremely flexible - so I can use the qty column in products where there are no options, or maintain separate stock qty totals for each size, or combination of size-colour, or even combinations of, say, size-colour-style. Clearly, the simplest solution would be to set up separate products, but this approach creates all sorts of other problems and is far from elegant. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt
