:blush: I am I am tecnolgically challenged when it comes to web design etc. I have installed this shopping cart as it was provided free of charge by my web hosting service. I did not get any of the install options as indicated on the help pages.

Now my cover sheet for my on-line store says that it is a template & is not to be used for real orders. How do I customize this page to say what I want it to say?

Any help wioll be truly appreciated!

Hi there JazPrncess,

Here's the stock doc on editing the main page content. Take a look in the wiki docs on the osCommerce site. There's LOTS of good info in there.

That file can be edited manually, or via the Administration Tool with the Languages->English->Define or Tools->File Manager modules.

The text is set in the following manner:

define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce project...');

The text highlighted in green may be modified - it is important to keep the define() of the TEXT_MAIN keyword. To remove the text for TEXT_MAIN completely, the following example is used where only two single quote characters exist:

define('TEXT_MAIN', '');

Hope that helps a bit!

Iggy
