parse error - on most simple page! Going mad

After making some headway setting up my store, now there is a parse error somewhere that prevents anything from being seen. I am working via the file manager at ipowerweb and have figured they can be dicey, losing\ before apostrophes etc. Still, can someone please explain what on earth is wrong with this:

Not only that, but when referencing an error, please include what the error is.
