JmanA9 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Is there a way I can change the way that the products appear on the category listing page so that they are sorted by model number, like S100 would appear before S200, etc.
JmanA9 Posted October 14, 2004 Author Posted October 14, 2004 Maybe an example of the problem will help. The reason that I need the products to be sorted by model number is because of the way that I have things named. Some things have spaces, and that is throwing the order off. Take a look at this category listing page to see what I mean: http://draincoverman.com/cart/index.php?cPath=21
JmanA9 Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 It looks like nobody knows, or I'm just being ignored..... Is there any other way I can accomplish this, given the way that I have my items named (you can see by looking at the page above)?
xPATRIOTSx Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I'm not a coder but found this in the contributions. Not sure if it helps but it sorts the products by model number in the admin section, maybe you could use the code to work on your products listing. It's over a year old too so make sure to back up your files. Go New England Patriots!!!!
JmanA9 Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 I'll have to give that a try. I'm no expert coder, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it working on the catalog. Anyone else know of any method to accomplish this goal?
