Creating a Template

Amulet

Recommended Posts

I did a search here but didn't exactly find what what I was looking for. I only see a folder for templates in the install folder; are those the files I need to copy and edit to make my own theme? If so, where do I upload them? I'm not a professional coder, but I've had enough experience to pick up a few things, so I think I will be able to create a template when I'm exactly sure what needs to be edited and where it must go. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Jen

There is no template system in ms2.

you mainly have three options

1) wait for ms3 (don't ask how long)

2) edit all catalog root files i.s.o. one template file

3) use a templating contribution: search the Contributions section for STS or BTS, you can also search the board for STS and BTS for more info.

If you have a templats folder you are probably using bts. If you want to create or change the template you have you are going to need to change the images and the stylesheet. The best thing to do is copy one of the templates, rename it and make your changes until you are happy with them.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
