Adding Pages

Andge

Recommended Posts

Hi,

How do I add a page to my site? I saw a contribution about adding box pages but what about a FAQ page? Or a ... just a page with something of my choice on it?

Thanks

Andrew.

I usually make a copy of the shipping.php page, and delete the middle portions of it, and add my own code there.

NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.

If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.

Hello. I tried this method but am only getting this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_db_connect() (previously declared in /home/virtual/site37/fst/var/www/html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php:13) in /home/virtual/site37/fst/var/www/html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 13

Any ideas?

When I take out this line : require('includes/application_top.php');

It just opens a blank page when I click on the link to my new Box page.

There is a really good contribution called Easy Populate that allows you to add, edit and so on extra pages that link in the information box that may do what you are looking for.

I am trying to use this contribution but can't get past the first step...I am pretty new to this stuff but have had success with several other contributions. I think I am a fast learner but I have no idea how to follow the first instruction: "1) Dump the pages.sql file to your database. YOu can simply open phpMyadmin and go into the SQL section and browse to this file." I can't find this file. Please someone tell me where to look...

Thanks!
