Order stuck in limbo

Ever since I've installed the Authorize.net contribution that I'm using, a bunch of orders get submitted, denied, resubmitted, and then go through.

 

As a result, when I get 1 new pending order, my admin page shows 2 even though I click pending & there's only 1 in there.

 

For all previous cases, I have been able to manually delete the screwed up order manually w/ PHPMYAdmin, but this time it happened and it's just not there. There's no partially entered order to delete.....

 

Can anyone please tell me where the admin gets info for pending orders, & how to delete it so the numbers are correct?
