Moving Site To DIR Below

I'm looking for a few solutions on how to move the site from /catalog directory to the directory below it.

http://www.test.com/catalog is needed to be typed in order to visit the shopping cart - > all i want is to type http://www.test.com

The problem is that the hosting company I am with already has a /admin section for the hosting so the admin that comes with OSCommerce would interfere.

In other words - > http://www.test.com/admin = hosting administrator side of things for my webspace.

http://www.test.com/catalog/admin = oscommerce administration side of things.

I hope that makes some sense.

Trying to install it to the directory I want to move it to gave errors of files interefering and directories already existing

Thanks

Change both your config files for your admin folder. Just change your osc admin folder to something like this /oscadmin/ and then just make sure you reflect the changes in the config files in your include folders for the catalog and admin area.

Hope this helps,

Dennis

Going about it the other way, can you move the webhost's /admin instead to maybe /webadmin?

Otherwise, I believe you would edit catalog/admin/includes/configure.php and change the definitions of

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN' .... and

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN' ....

to reflect the appropriate directory
