Fairly new to OSCommerce. Did one project in a Linux env. Thought it was great. Now have a potential customer that wants to standardize his platform under Windows. Tried to talk him out of it, to no avail. Question is whether OSCommerce is the best choice under Windows? Are there any major concerns? Things to look out for, etc.?

Thanks

make sure you are using a server, not windows xp. make sure the server is in a data center, not hosted off a t1 line or cable modem.

make sure you setup the rights for the files properly.

other than that it works great.

Personally I wouldnt use Windows to host anything never mind a public website :D

I agree wholeheartedly Sparky. But that's what the customer wants. Their website will be used to front-end a pay-per-play video game. Currently their demo site is Unix. But the game is Windows based. So the customer want to standardize on the Windows platform. Bad move in my opinion. But they will get what they want.
