Uploading a exel file

I've been Soooo impressed with the OScommerce program and offerings! I commend all that have been involved with it! If there were one thing I would change it would be to allow HTML editing for pages but I'm willing to learn PHP.

My question is, I have a file, large file, that has Item numbers, description and pricing, that I would love to format correctly and just upload it... tab, space, or anything delimited...

I believe that the database that is used is an SQL database - can anyone clarify a way to get data from an exel spreadsheet to work correctly with OS commerce? What are the steps if I want to upload it - pictures can be added later if at all, but I'm more interested in getting my data correctly to the net.

Thanks in advance!

Tom

I noticed you wished there was an html editor you can in fact install an html editor but in terms of actual layout there are template systems like Simple Template System which allows you to design in html and just add command lines to call up features of the php script. I would say it is like using iframes but not.
