Removing images

If you look in the catalog file where it is used, catalog/checkout_payment.php for example, you should see this code:

   <tr>
           <td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
           <td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_payment.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>
         </tr>

Just remove the second cell so that it is

   <tr>
           <td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
</tr>

You can rename/delete the images but that will cause your spacing in the files to be off since the table is still there. Changing the code is the better solution.
