Backing up customer data?

Is there a way to back up just the customer info (accounts info) to bring into a new store? We've revised a new store and will be deleting our old one. Can we bring in just the customer data so they wont have to sign up again?

Thanks!

If the tables have the same format, you can download those particular tables and then upload them to the new shop. If the format has changed, the only way I know of to do it is by hand-editing the tables to make them fit.

the customer data does not just consist of the table customers, you also have address book, etc lots more so dont just think you can bring across only one thing

I kind of figured it was more than one thing I would have to do. I just didn't know which things to do. That's why I asked thinking someone has done something like this before maybe?

if you search the contribution area for database layout, something like that, there is a contribution which explains each and every table and how they are interlinked, once you go through that you will find every table you need to extract.
