Im wondering if i can convert oscommerce to look like this:

http://www.inspirit-interiors.com/newdesig...bmenu=originals

I have managed to sort out the headers and footers and remove the side boxes so i have this so far:

http://inspirit-interiors.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=22

How do i get the products to populate my display scrolling across

and then get each product to display when clicked on

Anyone attempted anything like this yet??

The only way I can think of to make it interactive like you want is to use at marquee tag, similar to the scrolling news box. There is a scrolling bestsellers with pictures contribution that uses the marquee tag that you could use as a guide.

hmmm interesting,

the way i did it on the non oscommerce version was to loop through each record from a database displaying each item in a table cell, producing a horizontal table of images, and then using layers to scroll this table left and right,

now i've got very very little understanding of php, so to do this on the oscommerce version i guess what im after is the code that:

1) gets a list of all products within a category or subcategory

2) puts this list into table cell, looping through all results from table cell, to produce the horizontal table im after

3) add links to the images so that the product info page appears when clicked

any ideas??

Take a l;ook at the scroller on the right of this page...

You'll notice that it queries the DB, and pulls back result sets. I could easily enter the image of the product, and make it scroll horizontally.

This is pretty standard functionality. I think the contribution I suggested has everythign you need.
