Problem with SSL and Admin

Guest

Recommended Posts

I have installed my SSL and everything is working fine (inside the store)

However whenever i go to:

https://www.mydomainname.com/admin

I get asked to login (which is normal) then i get the 'Blue screen thing' if i click on ANYTHING - it asks me for my username and password again

then i get connected to http not https

Any ideas how to fix this?

ok now i know what you are talking about. if you want ssl for your admin area, you need to change the top line in your admin/includes/configure.php from http to https

excellent - thank you it worked! amazing how much an S makes a difference isnt it.

The admin is working under https now - however if i type in http://etc etc/admin - i can still get onto it - is that normal or should it 'redirect' me to a secure admin?
