SSL files

tritium

Recommended Posts

Hello all ...

What specific files are required for the secure section of OSCOmmerce - I don't want to repopulate my entire unsecure site over if I don't have to ... if there are specific files that are required, that would make life much easier

THanks

You shouldn't have to 'repopulate' your entire site anywhere. All of the files stay where they are. You just route the customer 'through' the SSL path to the files, where they are now.

OK ... how do I do that??

In my case, the SSL is at https://secure.mystore.com while the normal is at http://www.mystore.com ... I have two different folders in my FTP (www and secure) and when I insert the SSL info into my configure.php, it says error 404 ... below is the configure.php

// Define the webserver and path parameters
// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
 define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mystore.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers
 define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://secure.mystore.com'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers
 define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?
 define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.mystore.com');
 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'secure.mystore.com');
 define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');
 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');
 define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/tester/');
 define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/tester/');
 define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');
 define('DIR_WS_PRODUCTIMAGES', '../../images/mts/');
 define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/');
 define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');
 define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/');
 define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/');
 define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'classes/');
 define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'modules/');
 define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'languages/');
 define('DIR_WS_MONERIS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES. 'moneris/');
 define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');
 define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/u/m/mystore/www.mystore.com/tester/');
 define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');
 define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

Thanks

If you browse to...

https://secure.mystore.com

You should end up in the same exact page as

https://www.mystore.com

You should not get a 404 error. If you are, then your SSL is not configured properly.

Thanks both wizards and mibble ... I understand that the way my host set it up it is a subdomain ... and I have to send some files over ... but which files?

Just the ones I want to be secure (i.e. checkout_*.php, etc.) ... do we know which ones specifically?

or woudl I have to send over all of them (incl. column_left.php for example) for the page to look correct?

Thanks
