Intergrating acounting software

i think it would be good to have a type of accounting intergration like if i wanted to use quickbooks or MYOB small business accounting software to gather the orders and process them from the website it would be much eaisier to have an all in one package.

You could even sell a version with the quickbooks or MYOB intergration software as an advance version.

There is already a contribution that will import orders and customers into QB. There are also some $$$ software packages that do it also.

It is called Shopping Cart Assistant, available from the via the QB site I think or Google. The contribution for QB works quite well also.

Has anyone tried intigrating or exporting data to Microsoft's Small Business Accounting 2006?

Since it uses MySQL i guess it might be possible to write something to interact with it.

There are tools that integrates osCommerce website with QuickBooks. On google do a search for

"osCommerce and QuickBooks"

When considering a tool, make sure that it uses the latest SDK from intuit. There are some tools that create IIF files to be imported into QuickBooks. This technology is not supported by Intuit and may result in data corruption see details at http://developer.intuit.com/Support/FAQs/?...44#faq_qbsdk_q4

The pricing will be similar to the QuickBooks product T-HUB (around 200$)

$200? >_<

Anyone working on a free version? An add-on shouldn't cost more than the original app, and I bought ms sb accounting for $114

If no one is working on one, I may have to write a contrib...DOH! there goes the weekend.

Well, I have been needing to write a UPS mod to do the actual shipping. There is a prog for UPS that ships out of MSSBA, but they want $79, and $40 a year to license it.......Johnny don't do licenses B)
