stevel
Your English is fine - much better than my Swedish (even if I do drive a Saab.) The zone code is used when displaying addresses, though for many countries, there are not official zone codes. (In the US, zone codes are the state abbreviations such as NY for New York.) If your address format does not display the zone code, you can make up your own, and there's no requirement that they be unique except within a country (obviously). "address format"? This is a hidden part of osC that is not controlled by the Admin interface. There are only two address formats defined in the database, and both are in some ways wrong. I am up to seven or eight address formats, and I have not even tried to cover all the countries (my store sells almost all in the US.) See Universal Postal Union for address formats by country, and then you have to figure out on your own how to change the database to reflect these. It is not straightforward. Note that the standard code in create_account, etc., knows how to look up zone codes that the user may enter for "state", so if there are official definitions of zone codes for your country, you should use them. (Beware of a contribution called "World Zones" - for many countries, it defines non-standard zone codes.) You may want to take a look at my Country-State Selector contribution. stevel
If the zones you have are in an SQL file, you can "import" the file, but you can also add zones through Admin, which is what I would recommend if there aren't many of them. Back up your SQL database before making any changes.
