gcain Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Hi Guys, I'm getting close to finishing my first store, the only mod I have left to make is the Credit Class which I just realised should have been the first one I did! The only real changes I've made to the appearence of the cart are the colours. Other than that it's pretty much standard. I'm especialy interested in load times, and any mod/feature suggestions. The hyperlink of the Title for the Featured Products doesn't work right, I'm trying to fix that at the moment. Thanks to all in advance! Site: http://www.buffaloblades.com/

I also need to check the age of users making purchases, other than having them enter the DOB when creating an account, does anyone know of a mod or system to do this? Also, We got our first sale the othe day!! :D
Guest Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I would suggest if you think you need dob and gender leave em in, they are essential verification methods, especially when you have issues with credit card clawbacks, collect as much info about customers as you can before shipping goods to them. In my experience people who see what they like and want your product and agree the price is right will fill the form as is. If you look at the large etailers they everything they can short of blood type and shoe size :lol: In short simple nice site quality images, nice products I wouldnt think twice about age and gender. Simply I have done a few shops for clients with exactly them questions, get rid of dob and gender, then when they are clocking 100s of orders a day and a good % are claw backs they soon ask me to add them back and more to help them out, so security for you is the best thing.
