ashleypb Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 could anyone tell me if i need to add anything to my website to make it more intresting to visitors?
xpetex Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Its a good idea, but your site has to make people trust you. Either spend money on a professional theme or expect low buying.
Richard Bailey Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I don't mean 2 be rude - but your store is a bit of a joke? Trust is key and u are a long way from that.... Would love 2 hear if u can justify yourself and I apologise if u can. A good place to start with the trust thing would be: 1. Your address 2. Phone numbers Rich
Richard Bailey Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 For all Purchases of the Utilities CD, these will be despatched within 28 days sometimes this can take longer. Please note this may take longer for international buyers. When you have qualified for your Free Gift and the item is available this will be despatched within Two weeks, again for non UK customers this could take longer. All Gifts will be sent by Special Delivery within the UK and TNT Worldwide for International Deliveries, this may need to be signed for on receipt. We are sorry to say that we do NOT accept returns/refunds on Utilities CD or Free Gifts. 28 days? 2 weeks? I hope u don?t think you are an entrepreneur?
tdupres Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Hi again. I would suggest that you follow peters advice and find/buy a good looking theme for your site. Either that or find a designer who is well versed in osc. Both will cost you something and you will have to budget for that. A simple profits forecast will help, initial set-up costs against overall profits with the first year of trading. It will give you a better idea of what's worth paying for and what's not. Aside from that, I cannot stress enough the importance of instilling trust in your customers. The graphics will help but (as above) you will need to give them contact details, and some element of customer support. If you want to have a go at the graphics yourself then my advice would be start with the logo /brand. All other aspects such as colour schemes and buttons should flow from the main brand. Have a look at other sites and get a feel for how other people use graphics. However, never breech copyright! Its basically theft and very un-sportsman like!
Richard Bailey Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Do you think this guy cares about "sportsmanship"? He is stealing from grannies and children? Rich
