Import Outlook Contacts into Customers Table

I have written an add-on script to the "Manual Orders" contribution. The script imports a CSV file created from Outlook. Some of our customers were enterred into Outlook prior to our site going online. I wanted to import these customers into the customers table.

The script assumes the following fields are exported from an Outlook contact folder:

"First Name","Last Name","E-mail Address","Home Street","Home City","Home State","Home Postal Code","Home Country","Business Street","Business City","Business State","Business Postal Code","Business Country","Categories"

The fields can be in any order, so long as none are missing. We use the categories field to indicate the origin of our customers, say for example, from the Hilton Hotel (trade show).

This add-on (whcih could be made into a contribution) was motivated by our site being reviewed by Judd Burdon, see eCommerce with a Heart; and Cory Rudl in Secrets to Their Success.

Is this something that others would like to ues? If so, please let me know and I will contribute it.

Thanks,

Jerome

I'd be interested in this, also- think you could make it so that the database pulls the users OUT of oscommerce INTO a csv for Outlook?
