Guest Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 I am trying to install the OS Commerce. I got the help link on how to install it. Can it be installed on my local machine before uploading it to a web server? I have tried a couple ways to upload it. I talked to a friend of mine. He said that he didn't know of a way to set up the store and get it done and then uploading it. It that true? I wont have the web space for a few weeks. I want to go ahead and start work on my site on my computer now and then upload it when I get the web space.
conrad10781 Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 you could do a few things, you can install locally, edit, then just upload those edited files on a fresh install on the webserver. for example .css files, index.php, backup of your database etc.
