Problems accessing Admin folder

This is the first time I set up Oscommerce on Linux. I have done it several times in windows.

The installation this time was succesfull, I can browse the catalog etc. BUT when I try to access the admin section this is what I get:

 

1046 - No Database Selected

 

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

 

[TEP STOP]

 

I have tried putting Admin inside and outside of the Catlog directory and still the same problem. I think it is something related to the Index.php inside that folder but I do not know where exactly. I think I have heard of this problem before in the forums but I can not find it now.

Ok, I read thru the forum and found that i needed to edit manually the files configure.php inside "admin/includes" and to set up the right values for the database, the user, passwd etc. Now I can go to the admin page but when I click on any link I get the "The page cannot be found" error. None of the links that link to the configuration menus work.

 

 

Does somebody know what else to do?
