how to get Text and image at top of main content

Hi,

 

Could anybody tell me how to get text into the main content of the index.php page.

I have searched through the contributions and through the forums but carnt see any information about this.

 

I have highlighted in red on the image below what it is that I am after.

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
