Hi

In my quest to be top in my field I am trying to find out if it is possible to use the amazing mod rewrite facility to turn the whole of the OsCommerce site into HTML docs?

If anyone knows how to do this let me know!!

Cheers Guys

Excellent question and, I'm looking for the answer as well. Any help on this from you much more experienced PHP/OSC programmers would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering why you would want to go through the trouble?

Especially since 99.99 pct of all search engines index php sites with dynamic URLs equally with HTML sites, and have done so for nearly 2 years!

Why would you want to change it?

Because a URL with the product name, or the category name, in the url will do better than one without it, all other things being equal.

But you certainly wouldn't need mod rewrite to insert the product name

www.adomain.com?x=Cool_Product

and you could use the hash name for a category

www.adomain.com?Cool_Category=Cool_Product

What's that have to do with converting the entire site to HTML?
